Intern

Explore a range of activities on a sustainable farm and get a feeling for this way of life by working with animals, vegetables, honeybees, and living with nature. We are only 20 miles from the Chesapeake Bay, 15 miles from the Atlantic Ocean and only a 30 minute drive to the scenic natural park on Assateague Island near Chincoteague, VA. A nature lover’s paradise. Our internships offer summer internships lasting 2-3 months.

Apprentice

For those who have decided on farming as a career for themselves, we offer more intensive knowledge to master the inner workings of our farm from biodynamics, soil amendments, harvesting and marketing, tractor work, small engine repairs, and more. This is opportunity offers you an entire array of skills Our apprentices stay with us for 1-2 years.

Staff

As a small operation, we take on only a few co-laborers. For staff positions we do have, this is for people whose shared interest with us is centered around earning a living and increasing the profitability of the farm. For such a role, experience on a working farm and/or knowledge in horticulture or vegetable production are strongly favored. A wide range of skills are expected: woodworking, fence repair, construction, crop management, farmer’s market work and more.
